In addition to the fine cuisine, CY Steak offers an extensive wine list featuring over 500 selections from both the old and new world including rare finds and hand selected “grower champagnes”. C Y Steak has most recently been awarded the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence. Cliff is also proud to offer a specialty mixology menu featuring hand-crafted cocktails prepared tableside with the freshest seasonal ingredients.

About Cliff Young
A true Colorado-native, Cliff Young was born in Grand Junction and raised in Fruita where his parents were ranchers.
Cliff opened his nationally acclaimed restaurant, Cliff Young’s, in 1984 on East 17th Avenue and it quickly became one of the hottest restaurants in town. Touted in publications such as the New York Times, Bon Appetit Magazine, Gourmet Magazine, Holiday Magazine, The Wine Spectator Magazine and many others, Cliff Young’s received five star status and earned the Distinguished Restaurant of North America (DiRoNa) Award for excellence in dining. Among Cliff’s other well-received concepts are the Ruby Nightclub, which featured national blues, jazz, and big band acts; Avenue Grill, a San Francisco Style restaurant with an extraordinary bar; and the Napa Café, an informal wine bistro with 600 wine selections and an elaborate tasting program.
In 1996, Cliff and his wife Sharon moved to Burgundy, France where they invested in the renovation of a medieval estate dating back to 1269 A.D., located on eight acres of gardens, orchards and preserved historic buildings. The Domaine Montagny de Beaune, as named by the Youngs, became a luxurious small private hotel, winery and restaurant located in the center of the wine country of Burgundy in the Cote d’Or. This time in France and passion for their cuisine was the inspiration for what has become CY Steak.
CY Steak is a modern-day evolution of the American steak house, fusing a traditional steak house menu with classic French style and complexity. CY Steak features only the finest cuts f all natural Harris Ranch beef, char-broiled on all sides simultaneously to create an exceptional steak, cooked to perfection every time. The cattle are Angus beef fattened for 120 days ina sustainable environment with no pesticides, antibiotics or hormones.
