The California-based Blanchard Winery, founded by two brothers, Mark and James Blanchard, expanded to Denver when James was stationed in Colorado with the U. S.
Army. Blanchard produces two wines with fruits grown in the Gran Valle region: the Dairy Block Blend, vined with small pearl grapes and Verona, and the Rocky Mountain Rosé, made with Malbec, Cabernet Franc and Petite Verdot.
